what could be the cause of this?

daffodils perhaps?

these purple blushes

on lilacs, skin-deep, before

the blossom explodes ...

      ***

horse chestnut buds burst -

velvet-green candelabras -

 

freed of sticky sheaths ...

 

     ***

gold powdered bubbles

pollening pussy-willows –

spring jewellery shop …

      ***

trees in a frenzy,

threshing leaves, lynching branches

in this wild West wind ...

      ***

lime green beech leaves

float in a Japanese screen -

quivering with spring ...
