Noughts and crosses for grammar revision

Forgot all about this simple noughts and crosses game for grammar revision until I remembered. We played six rounds, each time changing the stems. I tried to make it relevant to the students' context and the stems related to their lives and their situations. All the stems that were not used in the rounds I noted down, and when the students finished playing I used them for a speaking activity: students had to complete them, and say why they will/ would/ would have done sth. It worked fine.
